The Ben Enwonwu Foundation (BEF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established to preserve the legacy of Africa's greatest and most influential artist of the 20th century, Prof Ben Enwonwu MBE, NNOM 1917-94. The Foundation is also committed to the promotion of modern and contemporary African art through exhibitions, education and public debate.
This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the death of Prof Ben Enwonwu, which will be commemorated by the Foundation with the 10th Ben Enwonwu Annual Lecture, to be delivered by the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Mr Oscar Onyema OON. He will be sharing his wealth of experience on art as an alternative investment with a view to listing art companies on the stock exchange. The lecture is slated for November 15, 2014 and will hold at The Wheatbaker, Ikoyi, Lagos.
